About Charlie Ross

Charlie Ross has been working on the UK comedy circuit for ten years. In that time he has written and performed three Edinburgh Fringe shows, all receiving five star reviews. He has played at top clubs in the country including the world famous Comedy Store. As well as many radio appearances on BBC Scotland he has written and contributed to many radio shows across the UK including BBC Lancashire and Heart FM. As an actor he has appeared in various audio productions of "Doctor Who" and has performed his one man show, "The Testosterone Trials" at Jermyn Street theatre in London's West End and made many theatrical appearances. His first film script, "Danny Halfpenny" has been optioned by Page Four Productions in Los Angeles, and is currently in pre-production.

Charlie is currently the driving force behind a campaign to return the legendary Bernard Cribbins to the charts, and working on a new tour entitled "Carry on Camping" - an affectionate look at the history and legacy of camp comedy. Ross has become a familiar face at Doctor Who conventions, where his love of the programme has allowed him to tailor his stand-up routine for the audience, as well as providing him the opportunity to interview many of his heroes on stage. This aspect of Charlie's work will be covered in a chapter in the new book.
